Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to guide our daily lives

Charity does not decrease wealth. No one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor. And no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.

Riyad as-Salihin — Sahih Muslim 2588

Giving in charity actually increases your wealth through Allah's blessings.

Make things easy and do not make things difficult. Give glad tidings and do not drive people away.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 69

Islam teaches ease and gentleness in dealing with others.

Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.

Sahih Muslim — Sahih Muslim 2564

What matters to Allah is the purity of heart and sincerity of deeds, not outer appearance.

Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih Muslim 2699

Seeking Islamic knowledge is a direct path to Paradise.

The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people.

Jami at-Tirmidhi — al-Mu'jam al-Awsat 5787

The measure of greatness in Islam is how much you benefit others.

The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.

Riyad as-Salihin — Sahih Muslim 2956

This world is temporary and full of tests. The believer looks forward to the Hereafter.

Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him be generous to his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him be generous to his guest.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 6018

Speech should be controlled — if it is not good, silence is better.

The rights of a Muslim over another Muslim are six: when you meet him, greet him with salam; when he invites you, accept; when he seeks counsel, advise him; when he sneezes and praises Allah, say Yarhamukallah; when he falls ill, visit him; and when he dies, follow his funeral.

Sahih Muslim — Sahih Muslim 2162

Islam emphasizes strong social bonds and mutual responsibility.

None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 13

True faith includes loving for others what you love for yourself.

Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity. Commanding good and forbidding evil is charity. Your guiding a person who is lost is charity.

Jami at-Tirmidhi — Jami at-Tirmidhi 1956

Charity in Islam is not limited to money — even a smile is a form of giving.

A man said to the Prophet (PBUH), "Advise me!" The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Do not become angry." The man repeated his request several times, and each time the Prophet (PBUH) replied, "Do not become angry."

Sahih Muslim — Sahih al-Bukhari 6116

Controlling anger is one of the greatest strengths and a sign of true faith.

While a man was walking along a road, he found a thorny branch on the road, so he removed it. Allah thanked him for that and forgave him.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 652

Even small acts of kindness are greatly rewarded by Allah.

The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek the help of Allah and do not feel helpless.

Sahih Muslim — Sahih Muslim 2664

Strength in faith, character, and body are all encouraged. Never give up or feel helpless.

The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 5027

Learning and teaching the Quran is among the most virtuous acts in Islam.

The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.

Sahih al-Bukhari — Sahih al-Bukhari 1

Every action is judged by its intention. Sincerity is the foundation of all good deeds.
