Sources, references and corrections

Trust starts with being able to check what you read. On United Islam, source text, translated meanings and explanatory notes have different roles. This page explains where the Quran import comes from, how to follow a supplied reference and how to raise a correction.

Where does the Quran text come from?

The Quran importer retrieves Arabic text and the Muhammad Asad English translation through Al Quran Cloud. Arabic text and translated meanings are displayed separately. Recitation and transliteration may be loaded from external providers when you use those features.

How can I check a dua or hadith?

Use the reference shown on the individual entry. A hadith entry may also include its collection and a grading. A reference identifies the supplied source; it does not establish that United Islam has independently reviewed the chain or that an explanation is a scholarly ruling.

How do I report a correction?

Contact our team with the page URL, the passage you believe needs correction, and a reliable reference. Distinguish corrections to Arabic text, translation, reference and commentary so the issue can be reviewed accurately.

What should I check before sharing an Islamic quotation?

Keep the surah and verse number, or the hadith collection and reference, with the passage. Check the wording in the named source and distinguish the quotation from an explanation. Where a grading is supplied, read it with its attribution and context. If a source or attribution is missing, ask for clarification rather than assuming it has been independently verified.

Quran.com offers Quran reading and study resources. Sunnah.com explains its sources, numbering and grading approach. These are external resources you can consult; their presence here does not imply a review or endorsement of United Islam.

Where do explanations and personal religious questions fit?

Reading notes help you navigate an entry; they are separate from the Quran text or a hadith narration. No independent scholarly review is claimed unless an entry identifies the actual reviewer and scope. Bring a personal religious ruling to a qualified scholar who can consider its context.

How are submissions published?

Job listings, marriage profiles and donation campaign submissions are held for review. Submission screening helps reduce spam; publication alone should not be treated as independent verification of a person, employer or beneficiary.
