What makes a useful job listing?
- A specific job title, named employer and clear responsibilities.
- Location, on-site or remote arrangements, working hours and job type.
- Relevant skills, qualifications, languages and experience.
- Pay information and application instructions, where available.
- For teaching: subjects, student age group, lesson format and expected teaching approach.
Write requirements around the work and welcome suitable applicants. This is a way to reach a community, not a promise that every applicant has a particular identity or has been independently vetted.
How posting a vacancy works
- Open the job submission form and provide your role, employer and contact details.
- The listing enters draft status for the team to review before publication.
- After publication, jobseekers can read the full description and follow the available application route.
The team may need clarification before publication. Posting does not guarantee a particular number of applications or a successful hire. Keep the listing accurate and tell the team when the position closes.
Hiring teachers or applying to teach?
Employers with a specific opening should submit the vacancy. Teachers who want to offer their skills to United Islam can send a teaching application. These are separate processes, so a teacher application does not create or apply to an employer vacancy.
